Instructional Systems Designer
Education is a lifelong adventure of discovery, ignited by curiosity and fueled by engagement. I design learning experiences where theory meets practice, so learners can explore, reflect, and grow with confidence.
In this journey, educators act as facilitators rather than directors; I map the road and let learners walk it. Meaningful learning happens when theory meets practice, and hands-on work is where that meeting actually occurs. Learners engage with the material by doing it, reflecting on what worked, and refining their approach; that cycle builds a deeper, more durable understanding than reading about a concept ever could.
I treat mistakes as information, not failure, and design courses so a wrong turn early on becomes useful data instead of a dead end. Learners bring different backgrounds and different reasons for being in the room, and the design has to hold up for all of them, not just the ones who arrive already comfortable. Getting that right is less about atmosphere and more about building in enough structure that people can actually take risks.
What I actually enjoy is the design problem itself: finding where a course loses people, then building the version that doesn't. I want the learners who go through my courses to keep asking questions well after the course ends, because the habit of asking is the real skill, not any single answer I hand them.
Projects, practicum work, and technical writing samples from across my instructional design coursework and internship.
